I don’t think this game is going to get too many people excited this weekend, and perhaps even less so when people realise that both of these clubs are yet to score a goal this season.
Crystal Palace have been beaten twice, while Swansea have been beaten once and drew 0-0 in their other game.
It doesn’t stand out as being a classic, but it is a game that both will be desperate to pick up points in so we should see a very well contested game.
I think alarm bells may already be ringing in the Crystal Palace camp after their two opening games. They were beaten 3-0 on the opening day by Premier League newcomers Huddersfield, and followed that up with a slightly better 1-0 defeat at Anfield against Liverpool, although it could have been more. They look to be struggling in defence, and struggling in attack, new manager Frank de Boer looks to have his hands full already with his new team.
Swansea will eventually fall into the relegation zone in my opinion, they have not strengthened enough from last season. Time and time again they let their best players leave, this season it is Gylfi Sigurdsson, and they do not replace them. They have a lack of creative options, they are not the best in defence and I can see nothing but a struggle for them, unless they make big moves over the next week and bring people in.
The way the game is set up, with two poor teams both desperate to pick up something from the game, I can see this one ending in a draw.
Neither team will want to lose, and I am not sure they have the attacking ability to force a win, leaving a draw looking like the most obvious outcome in this one.
The draw/under 2.5 looks a great price at 3/1
